Dr.
Mark Mattison has been here at the clinic for 30+ years. He was
hired in July of 1976. Dr. Mattison completed his pre-vet
undergrad studies at
Augsburg College and received his DVM
degree from the
University of Minnesota’s College of Veterinary
Medicine. He is one of our two co-owners as well as a full time
veterinarian. Dr. Mattison says that becoming a veterinarian
allowed him to combine his interest in medical science with his
veterinary experience growing up on a farm. He enjoys the
variety of patients and good people to work with here. He finds
veterinary medicine interesting, challenging, and always new.
Professionally, Dr. Mattison lists acupuncture as one of his
interests and he is our only veterinarian certified to perform
it.
Dr. Mattison shares his home with his wife and they have two
grown children and three grandchildren. In his spare time, he
likes woodworking, singing, and playing guitar. Dr. Mattison
also finds music, travel, camping, reading, museums, and theater
appealing. |
