Dr.
David Mitzelfeldt was hired here at the clinic in July of 1992.
In addition to his veterinarian position, he is also one of the
clinic’s two co-owners. Dr. Mitzelfeldt spends his days seeing
patients, performing surgery, caring for hospitalized pets,
educating clients, promoting preventative health care and
tending to business matters. He attended and graduated from the
University of Minnesota for both undergrad pre-vet studies and
the College of Veterinary Medicine. He always wanted the
challenge that veterinary medicine provides, as well as the
opportunity to work with animals and others with similar
interests in a close knit profession, so he became a
veterinarian! Dr. Mitzelfeldt maintains an interest in internal
medicine and enjoys working here with the great patients, staff
and facility. He also declares an interest in the office coffee
machine. Dr. Mitzelfeldt says that he stays devoted to his
profession because there is always something new to learn and
always something he has never seen before.
Dr. Mitzelfeldt and his wife have three daughters and they share
their home with two cats: Mr. Snicket and Mr. James Bond.
Outside of the clinic, he likes cycling, cross-country skiing,
photography, and history. As far as hobbies go, Dr. Mitzelfeldt
says they’ll have to wait until his kids are out of school! |
