Dr. Jamie Skime
was hired as an associate veterinarian in June of 2008. She
received her DVM degree from the
University Of Minnesota College
Of Veterinary Medicine. Here at the clinic, her duties as a
veterinarian include: caring for sick patients, performing
surgery and dental procedures, promoting preventative care, and
educating clients. Dr. Skime lists dentistry, oncology, and
ophthalmology as the areas of medicine that interest her most.
She also loves working with small ruminants such as goats,
sheep, and camelids. Dr. Skime became a veterinarian to help
people with their animals. She really likes how much the field
of medicine has advanced in recent years, especially compared to
just 10 or 20 years ago, making the lives of pets and their
people happier and healthier. Dr. Skime enjoys the fun work
atmosphere at the clinic and our great staff and clients.
Professionally, she belongs to the
Wisconsin Veterinary Medical
Association (WVMA),
Minnesota Veterinary Medical Association (MVMA),
American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), and the American
Veterinary Dental Society (AVDS).
Dr. Skime lives with her husband and four cats: Dyna Myte, Puggy,
Walter and Ellis Mate, horse: Charlie, two goats: Cornelius and
Cornwallace, and two old koi fish. In her spare time she likes
to read, ride her horse, and spend time with family. |
