Dr. Robert Swingen

After graduating with a degree in Veterinary Medicine from Iowa State University in 1966, Dr. Swingen practiced for one year at a veterinary clinic in Mt. Horeb, Wisconsin.  He then served two years in the military.  Upon returning to Wisconsin, Dr. Swingen was hired at the La Crosse Veterinary Clinic in 1969.  Dr. Swingen is a member of several professional organizations, including the WVMA (Wisconsin Veterinary Medical Association), CRVMA (Coulee Region Veterinary Medical Association), AVMA (American Veterinary Medical Association), and AAHA (American Animal Hospital Association).  He enjoys working with pets and always looks forward to his surgery days.  Outside of work, Dr. Swingen’s hobbies include aviation and hiking.  He lives with his wife and two cats in La Crosse.
