Congratulations on this wonderful addition to your family!

In order to ensure that your new puppy has a long, healthy, productive life, we recommend the following health maintenance schedule:

6 to 8 Weeks Old

• Initial Wellness Examination and Discussion

• 1st Combination Vaccinations – Distemper, Parvovirus, AdenoVirus-2, Parainfluenza, Leptospirosis (4), CoronaVirus

• Intestinal Parasite Examination (fecal sample)

• Feed a high quality Eukanuba or Hill’s Puppy/Growth Diet (until 7-12 months of age)

• Start monthly Heartworm Preventative (8 weeks old – once a month preventative all year round)

• Start Flea-Tick Preventative (once a month all year round)

• Schedule spay or neuter surgery (4-6 months of age)

 9 to 11 Weeks Old

• 2nd Combination Vaccination – DA2PPLC

• 1st Infectious Tracheal Bronchitis – Bordetella  *If boarding, puppy obedience class, or dog park

• 1st Lyme Disease Vaccination

• Heartworm & Flea-Tick Preventative – 2nd Dose

12 to 14 Weeks Old

• 3rd Combination Vaccination – DA2PPLC

• 2nd Lyme Disease Vaccination

• 2nd Infectious Tracheal Bronchitis – Bordetella  *If boarding, puppy obedience class, or dog park

• Rabies 1-year Vaccination, Tag & Certificate

• Heartworm & Flea-Tick Preventative – 3rd Dose

15 to 17 Weeks Old

• Continue Heartworm & Flea-Tick Preventative (once a month all year)

4 to 6 Months Old

• Partial Blood Analysis

• Spay or Neuter Surgery

Annually (1-6 years of age)

• Comprehensive Wellness Examination & Dental Health Evaluation

• Combination Vaccine Booster – DA2PPLC

• Infectious Tracheal Bronchitis – Bordetella  *If boarding, puppy obedience class, or dog park

• Lyme Disease Vaccine Booster

• Rabies Vaccine Booster – every 1-3 years

• Spring Heartworm Antigen Blood Test – March, April, or May

• Yearly Microscopic Intestinal Parasite Examination – Fecal Sample

• Continue Heartworm & Flea-Tick Preventative (once a month all year)

Senior & Super Senior Years (7 years of age & older)

• Annual/Bi-Annual Wellness Examination, Blood Screening, Urinalysis & Dental Health Evaluation

• Combination Vaccine Booster – DA2PPLC

• Infectious Tracheal Bronchitis – Bordetella  *If boarding, puppy obedience class, or dog park

• Lyme Disease Vaccine Booster

• Rabies Vaccine Booster – every 3 years
